Nottce is hereby given 'that, on the Second Day cf March, 1871, Singer Barclay, one of the Councillors of the Middle Ward, of the Borough of Greymonth, having tendered his resignation, Monday, the Twentieth Day of March, 1871, has been appointed by his Worship the Mayor for the election of a Councillor in the stead of the said Singer Barclay so resigned. Notice is hereby further given that an ELECTION -will be held, in pursuance of the requirements of the Municipal Corporations Act, at the Fire Brigade Hall, Boundarystreet, oh MONDAY, the said TWENTIETH DAY of MARCH, 1871, and the POLL* if necessary, will commence at 8 a.m. and close at.4 p.m. precisely; and, furthermore, that the day for- Nomination rf candidates to nil the said vacancy is fixed for Saturday, the Eleventh Day of March, at Noon, at the Town Clerk's Office, Gresson street, Greymonth. All candidates must be nominated in writing, signed by at least three voters and by the candidates, and such writing must be delivered to the Returning Officer, at the office of the said Borough Council, on or before 4 of the clock p.m. on Friday, the Tenth Day of March, 1871.
