Open to all horses that have been packing regularly in the district for three months prior to the day of the race, and the bond fide property of packers liviDg in the Grey Valley District. Welter weight for age. Mile heats. Entrance, 2 soys. Town Plate, of 40 soys. Open to all horses. Weight for age. Two miles. Winner of Trial Stakes to carry 71b extra. Entrance, 3 soys. Hack Race, of 15 soys. For all horses that have not been, in training for three months prior to the date of the race. Catch weights. One mile. Entrance, 2 soys. Hurdle Race, of 25 soys. Weight for age. One mile and a-half, ovei six flights of hurdles, 3ft 9in in height. Entrance, 3 soys. SECOND DAY, FRIDAY, 17th FEBRUARY. (To start at 1 o'clock sharp.)

Open to all horses the bond fide property for three months before the day of tbe race of butchers residing in the Grey Valley District, and which have never won an advertised race of more than £20. Catch weights. One mile heats. Entrance, 3 soys. Grey Valley Handicap, of 100 soys. Two miles and a-half. Nominations of 3 soys. to be made on or before the 9th February, addressed to the Secretary. Weights to be declared at eight o'clock, at Gilmer's Hotel, Ahaura, on the night of the 16th February. Acceptances, with 5 soys., to be made the same night before eleven o'clock, addressed to the Hon. Secretary. District Handicap, of 25 soys. Open to all horses the bond fide property of persons residing in the Grey Valley District for not less than three months prior to the day of meeting. Declaration of weights to be made on the night of the 16th February. Two miles. Entrance, 3 soys. Hurdle Handicap, of 50 soys. Distance two miles, over eight flights of hurdles. Nominations of 2 soys. to be made on or before the 9th February, addressed to the Secretary. Weights to be declared at eight o'clock; at Gilmer's Hotel, on the night of the 16th February. Acceptances, with 3 soys., to be made the same night, before eleven o'clock, to the Secretary. Consolation Stakes, of 20 soys. For all beaten horses. Distance, one mile and a-balf. Entrance, 2 soys. Post entries. RULES \ND REGULATIONS. The Greymouth Jockey Club rules wijl be strictly adhered to, unless otherwise specified. In all cases the decision of the Stewards to be final. All entries co be directed, under seal, to the Hon. Secretary, at Gilmer's Hotel, before eight o'clock on Saturday night, the 13th February, enclosing entrance money, with the name, age of horse, and color of the rider. Three entries or no race.

Any jockey not riding in the colors declared on the night of general entry will be fined £1 Is. No protest will be entertained unless accompanied by a fee of -C 2, which will be forHted to the Race Fund should the Stewards declare the protest frivolous. Mares and geldings allowed 31bs.
