John Crerar begs to return his sincere thanks to the inhabitants of Greymouth for their liberal support since he commenced business in Greymouth, and respectfully solicits a continuance of the same on behalf of his successors, Messrs Parkinson and Steel, as he is well assured they will merit the same. Mr Steel posse- ses a thorongh knowledge of the business, having been an assistant with Mr Samuel Mullen, booksel'er, Melbourne, and Mr John Sands, stationer, Sydney ; and in my service for four years, during which time he served faithfully and efficiently.
