MR BUCKLEY'S TELEGRAM.

(to the editor.) Sir— l notice in last night's evening paper a letter from Mr D. Sheedy, and the copy of a telegram from Mr Buckley, to the effect that " Harrison's party has sent an infamous telegram here stating that I had excited party religious feeling in Greymouth." I have only to say that I have sent no telegram whatever to Wellington or elsewhere on the subject of the election, and that every member of my Committee denies having done so. My Committee have taken steps to ascertain the text of the alleged telegram, and the name of the sender, and will communicate with Mr Buckley on the subject to-day. — I am, &c., W. H. Harrison. Greymouth, Jan. 20, 1871.
