Chmstcstjuch,—The LylUllon Tim»» of Saturday last reports : — In the grain market a slight decline is noticeable, and the prices for all cereals, with the exception of hea?y oats, are now lower than they were a few weeks ago. Wheat is offering somewhat freely, and the farmers have some difficulty in obtaining 4s 4d for even prime samples. Good dry wheat, for immediate shipment, is placed at 4s 6d to 4s 7d. Within the last few days a better demand has sprung up for potato oats ; light samples for forward delivery are easily quitted at 2s 6d. Tartarian oats meet with a slow sale at 2s 3d to 2s 4J, but few farmers care to take these quotations. In barley we cannot note_anyJmpnvy.e.menJL,aad--sales are made ■sfr'VSfy unsatisfactory prices. Butter ia hardly so active at 7£d to Bd. Cheese is well held at 7d. Hams and bacon fetch 7£d to B£d, but the demand is lessening.
