The Re, D,\ Lang, who arrived in Melbourne hy the City of Brisbane on Monday last, has come to Victoria f jr the purpose of pressing bis claims on the Vic= torian Government to a recognition of the services he hai done the colonies. We learn that an attempt will be made to secure the placing of a sum of money on the estimates for this purpose, A claimant of a different class to Dr Lang, namely, Mr Hargreaves, intends being here by tho time our session commences, for the prosecution of his endeavors to obtain a pecuniary benefit from the State funds. A western editor consoled a man Mho complained that justice had not bean done him, hy the remark that ib waa " very lucky for him."
