Owing to the heavy sea on the bar, there have been no arrivals or departures at this port since Tuesday, The s.s. Gothenburg, from Nelson, may be expected in the roadstead to-morrow, or Saturday at the latest. She will take passengers for Melbourne direct. The s.s. Tararua is expected in the Hokitika roadstead, from Melbourne direct, this morning or to-morrow morning. She will bring on the English mail, via Suez. She will take passengers from this port for Nelson and other New Zealand ports and Melbourne, via the Bluff.
