[from our own correspondents.] Hokitika, Sept. 15. Dale's case was finished last night. He was sentenced to three months' imprisonment. He defended his own case, and made a bad impression. Sept. 16. Mr Locke succeeded in passing 300,000 acres of the seventymile bush through tho Court. He got it by treaty for the purpose of immigration and settlement. The Court sits at Napier on Friday. A sailor, belonging to the s.s. Keera, jumped overboard in the harbor and swam straight out to sea. The pilot boat with difficulty overtook him outside the breakers. He is mad.

Several parties have searched for Bruce, Peacock's overseer at Taupo Lake, without success.
