The schooners Wild Wave, for Lyttelton, and the Angelina, for Duuedin, were towed to sea. yesterday by the p.s. Dispatch. The p.s. Charles Edward is announced to leave this port on Monday morning for Westport, Nelson, Wanganui, aud Mauakau. The s.s. Kennedy, Captain Whitwell, arrived from Nelson, 'Westport, and Hokitika on Thursday evening, and sailed again for tbe North on Friday forenoon. The s.s. Gothenburg, from Melbourne via New Zealand ports, arrived iv the roadstead yesterday afternoon, was tendered by the p.s. Dispatch, and the passengers landed at 10 o'clock last night. The banks shipped a large quantity of gold, the particulars of which will be mentioned in our next. The s.s. Tararua, James Hagley, commander, arrived from Melbourne, via Hckitika, at three o'clock yesterday, after a good steaming passage of five days one hour. She left tho Sandridgc Pier at 2.30 p.m. on fche Srrl, passed the Heads at 5 p.m., and Sister's Island afc 10 a.m. the following day. Experienced beautiful weather and smooth sea, wind light from the eastward, arriving at Hokitika as above. The Tararua was tendered on Thursday night by the s.s. Waipara, which landed passengers and English and Australian mails. She brought 87 tons cargo for Hokitika and Greymoutb, aud twenty-three passengers. Yesterday the cargo was landed at Hokitika, and the Tararua came on here and was tendered last evening by the p.s. Dispatch, and herpissen- # gers and mails landed. She left for Nelson about 8 p. in. The schooner Fairy, for Lyttelton, was tewed to sea yesterday by tbe p.s. Dispatch. The ketch Jane Elkin, from Westport, in ballast, was brought to the wharf yesterday morning by the p.s. Dispatch.
