IRISH PATRIOTIC FUND.
The Central Committee of this fund met at Stoney Lead on Wednesday, when the following resolutions were adopted : —
Proposed by Michael Dowltng, and seconded by Thomas Colton — "That an advertisement be put in the Gkey Rivek Argus, calling the attention of the collectors for the Irish Patriotic Relief Fund to forward their subscription lists and contents immediately after the 15th prox. to the treasurers." Proposed by John Power, and seconded by Michael Macgillicuddy— " That the fcmds collected on the West Coast Gold Fields be transmitted to the care of the following gentlemen, who will act as Trustees, viz. : — lsaac Butt, Esq., Q.C., Chairman of the Amnesty Committee ; Messrs Charles K. Kickham, John Martin, A. Sullivan, Editor of tho Dublin Nation; and — Pigot, Editor of the Irish-nan Proposed by Patrick Morhissey, and seconded by John Byrne—" That the Trustees to whom the funds for the wives and families of the Irish political prisoners are entrusted will hand the same to the Ladies' Committee, of which Mrs Clark Luby i 3 Presidentess, for distribution." Proposed by Edmund Power, and seconded by John Stephens — " That the issue of the Grey River Argus in which the Subscription List will appear, be forwarded to the Melbourne Advocate, Dublin Nation, Irishman, Cork Examiner, Tipperary Vindicator^ and John Mitchell's Insh Citizen. Proposed by Michael Halley, and seconded by Daniel Enright :— " That a letter of thanks be tendered by the Chairman to the collectors for their indefatigable exertions in making this benevolent undertaking a success." Proposed by John Dunn, and seconded by Thomas Walsh :—" That a vote of thanks be given to the Charleston Irish Relief Fund Committee for the manner in which they have conducted the canvass."
The subscription-lists have arrived from Auckland, Grahamstown, and Wellington, with donations equal to anticipation. By information received from Charleston last night, we learn that LIOO has already beeu collected. Reports from the various collectors on the West Coast Gold Fields speak of an exceedingly large subscription.
