COMMERCIAL.
Sam House and Co., com merchants, have called. a meeting of their creditors, who have accepted ten shillings in the pound. Their liabilities are L16,0U0. Breadstuffs declined during the week. Sales at auction, on Tuesday, Ll2 10s to L12 12s 6d. The balauce was withdrawn for Ll3, but prices are weaker, now Ll2 being the outside figure. Wheat, 6s 7d to 53 9cl. New Zealand wheat sold 6s 6d, and barley 4s, but these prices are now hardly maintained. Oats and maize have also declined. At Adelaide prices keep op, and wheat is quoted at -Hobart Towu, 5s 4d to 5s 6d. Hennessey's brandy sold at 6s 9d, and Otard's at 6s. The Elector's new teas did not sell equal to expectations, and a portion of the cargo was withdrawn. Medium realised Is 6sd to Is B*d ; fine, 2s 4d to 2s 6d.
