/"^AU T I ON. To the Miners of Westland and Nelson Gold Fields. Whereas an advertisement appears in the West Coast Tiir.e3, hended, " Wanted, 100 miners for the Rr>ss Extended Company," &c, &c, this is, therefore, to inform all our brother miners unacquainted'with the actual position of affairs on Ross, between the companies and their employees, that the above advertisement is a delusion and a snare, inasmuch as there are already more miners here than can find employment ; that the companies have already reduced the wage's, and intend to compel the miners to work ten hours instead of eight hours, as heretofore, in ground that is wet above and below, as well as most dangerous to work, unless skilled and tried labor is employed. - We, the miners of Ross, coiisider,. in justice not only to ourselves but to our fellow-diggers, to give them this caution, and sincerely and earnestly warn them not to rush to au already overcrowded district, where the ultimate result would be— trampling and crushing under foot honest and manly labor, and making it subservient to a few pompous capitalists.
