A short time since the bJasks camped at Sandy Point, Lake Victoria, found a quantity of bones lying on the shore, about ten or eleven fest from the water. They were removed to Bairnschile, where a magisterial inquiry was held by Mr Howittonthe 4th ult. The evidencegivtn caused the surmise that they were the remains of Big Joe, an aboriginal, who disappeared with his gin about eighteen months ago. The verdict arrived at was that they were the bones of aboriginals, but whether male or female was not known.
