Airedale arrived late last night, and left again soon after midnight. "-. Auckland, August ]4. Arrived — The City of Melbourne. She left Honolulu at daylight on the 26th j July, and brings S&u Francisco news, to, thViOth.' . 'On- the : upward voyage she left Auckland on the 7th July ; arrived at Honolulu on the 23rd. The Ajax took on the passengers and cargo the following morning. Fine weather was experienced throughout. On the return trip to Auckland the winds and weather were favorable, but on the 4th broke the crosshead off after engine ; sighted Port Knight at 5 a.m., and arrived at 2 p.m., after, a passage of eighteen days nine hours. •- Passengers for New Zealand.—^Captain Baldwin, Mr Ooates, W. Anderson,. Mr Harelip Mail agent Rich, and three in the steerage. For Melbourne— eight saloon, two steerage. , : [■. 1; ; Cargo. — For Auckland, ,1009 kegs, 2W bag 3 sugar, &c. For Sydney, 1061 bags sugar, 660 bags sugar, 12 bales, dried shrimps, &c. '
