[The following was issued from this office as an Extra on yesterday afternoon : — ] Hokitika, Friday morning. The Tararua arrived at eleven o'clock last night from Melbourne,. She left the heads on Sunday, 7th instant, at seven a.m., and the passage occupied four days thirteen hours. She brings English news. Melbourne, Aug. 6. The Avoca left Galle on July 15th, arrived at the Sound on the 30th ; left at midnight, arriving at Melbourne this morning.
