The ketch Brothers and Sisters, Perkins, roaster, from Westport, was brought to the wharf on Thursday morning by the ps. Dispatch.
The schooner Glengarry left Hokitika. for this port ou Thursday, The next, steamer for Melbourne direct is the Claud Hamilton. She is expected here on Monday or Tuesday at latest. The brig Magnet is still at anchor in the Toadstead, but it is expected she will be brought : to the wharf to-day. Yesterday she was visited by the p.s.. Despatch, which brought ashore all her perishable cargo. The s.s. John Perm, from Wanganui, Westport, and Fokitika, arrived in the roadstead on Thursday evening, and came to the wharf yesterday morning at 11 o'clock. She left Wanganui on Sunday morning, and arrived off tbe Bnller on the following morning. L^ft the Buller for Hokitika on Tuesday evening. Dnring the first part of the passage, experienced strong S. W. winds, obliging the vessel to- shelter under the Sand Spit from Sunday night until Monday morninpf. ■ Latter part of passage fine weather, witha heavy S.W. sea, and she arrived at Hokitika on Wednesday evening ; left again on Thursday eveuing, and nrrived here as above. She will leave again this morning 1 for Westport, ■. Wanganui, and Manakau.
The schooner Lady Don, for Hokitika coal-laden, was towed to sea on Thursday morning by the p.s. DispatchOn Thursday morning the s.s. Kennedy sailed for Westport and Nelson. The ketch Amateur, while leaving the Earamea for Westport, went ashore, the wind having failed her while crossing the bar. She is uninjured, and is expected to be got off in o few days.
