Ellen Kennedy. — This was an action for .work done and material supplied to defendant, an hotelkeeper, at Paddy's Gully, No Town. The amount claimed waa L 73 9s 6d. At the last sitting of this Court the present defendant sued the plaintiffs in this case for forcible ejectment from a house at Paddy's, which she alleged she paid for, and produced a receipt, signed by Young and Pulling. The house was on that occasion ordered to be given up to Miss Kennedy, without prejudice as to future proceedings or going into the qiies- \ tion as to the validity of the receipt. It appeared to be a questionable transaction altogether, and in the course of the case the plaintiff Young gave his evidence in a most unsatisfactory manner. He was several times cautioned by the Bench, but without effect, and his Worship ultimately ordered him to be confined till the, rising of the Court. Judgment for the amount claimed with costs.
