The biigantine Ceres cleared the Customs at Lyttelton, on Saturday afternoon last, with a full cargo of grain for Melbourne, and was to sail with the first fair wind. It will be seen by our telegrams that the s.s. Beautiful Star has been severely damaged by running on a snag while leaving the Wanganui River. The s.s. Wallabi, Captain Daniels, from Wanganui, Nelson, and Westport, arrived at the wharf early on Friday morning, with' a small cargo and a quantity of sheep. She coaled up during the day, and left in the evening for the North. The B.S. Waipara, Capt. Bascand, arrived from Hokitika on Friday morning, and left in the evening for Brighton and Westport. The s s. Claud Hamilton is expected at the Bluff to-day from Melbourne. The s.s. Kennedy arrived from Hokitika on Thursday evening, and .sailed for Westport on Friday morning.
