Sib, — Information has reached me that Mrs Jane Anderson, residing at the Golden Age Hotel, of this town, has endeavored, through a friend of hers, to prevent the ' editor of the "Evening Star" inserting the advertisements which appeared in that paper on Saturday evening last, respecting the birth, and death of her child, which took place on the 27th November and the Bth of December last. I beg to state that the advertisements are substantially correct, as I received the certificates myself, at Nelson, on the 21st of April last, from Father Garin, parish priest. .
