KILKIVAN.
1 [gympie times, march 19.] This district is decidedly looking up, the favourable reports we have lately been enabled to publish having induced a number of the Gympie miners to turn their attention to the reefs in the neighbourhood of the Black Snake. Two new prospecting claims have been granted — on the Forrest and New Zealand Reefs. The former promises well, as it is a wide reef, and some good specimens have been obtained from it. The New Zealand also shows good prospects. Hope (Black Snake).— ls tons of stone from the prospect claim, Homeward Bound, yielded loz to the ton.
