MojfDAY, March 14, (Before Mr Warden Whitefoord,) Fletcher V, Penglau?e.-T=This was a dis-i piite about the right to use the waters in Hammett and Co.'s old- water-ra.ee Aat Lagoon terrace, Nelson Creek. After a, long hearing the Warden made an order that Penglaige should purchase Fletcher's right for L 6 10s, to be paid within onei month. A witness, named Doyle, applied for his expenses in this case, but as it appeared he was a partner cf deiendan.t'a
when the <a'ise of action arose they wer not allowed. Hugh Anderson and Co. applied fo psrmission to erect a dam in the le't-lmnc branch of No Town Creek. The application was opposed. The applicant depjsitet a shilling on the clerk's desk and demanded to know who had the first righi in the creek ? After a long search it was found that Anderson's registration was dated as far liaclc as March, 1866, on which fact becoming known to the objectors the opposition was withdrawn. The Court was adjourned to the 27th o March. , .
