Per John Perm, for Northern ports : 2 tons coke, Maclean and Go. The s.s. Rangitoto, Captain Mackie, arrived in the roadstead on Tuesday afternoon, and on the evening tide was tendered by the p'.s. Dispatch. She left Hobson's Bay at 3.30 urn. on February 28.th, and cleared Port .Phillip Heads at 0.20 p.m. ; experienced light N.N.E. and moderately fine weather until" arriving at the Bluff at 9. 15 a.m. on March 5 ; discharged, cargo, landed and took on board passengers, and Iqftj agaii* At 4 p.m. ; experienced a strong S.W. breeze pn her run up the cons, t, aud hoye 7 to off Otago Heads at 1.23 a. in. for daylight, arriving at Porfc Cbahners at 6. 30 a. m. on March 6th ; left again at 2.20 p.m. on March 7th, arriving at Lyfcteltou next evening. Shs left again the following day, called in at Wellington and Nelson, and arriving here as above. The passengers \yerp landed and shipped, 2009qzs 6dwts of gold were also pat on board, and the Raugitoto left the same tide for Hukitika roadstead. The B.s. John Perm sailed for Northern ports on Tuesday evening with a. considerable number of passengers. The Liverpool, New York, and Philadelphia Steamship Company's Royal Mail steamer Oity of Bni33els, Captain Kennedy, arrived •in Liverpool lately from New York, after a run of unparalleled rapidity, she having made the run from that port to Q leenstown in seven days 22 hours and three minutes, and to Liverpool in ei^ht days 13 hours and 41 piinntes, making allowance for difference of time. This is about two hours and forty minutes less than the previously shortest voyage on record. Thrc ughoat the whole ruu she steamed at a very high rate, and with remarkable steadiness and regularity, logying 37, 33Q, 320, 333, 340, 371, 365, 353, and 266 miles each day m succession. The Bosworth, from Sunderlaud for Batavia, wifch coal, has foundered mrth of Peraambuco ; crew saved. The Pearl, of London, for Sunlerland, wish a cargo of compressed hay, was totally destroyed py fire iv Yarmouth Roadstead-. The crow were saved. The remains of the wreck have been beached. The crew of ths Blanch, which foundered about eighteen miles off the old Head of ' ivinsale, have been rescueil. Some of them Jiad taken to the boats, and the others were found floating on a raft. Captain J^ines., of the ship Alice Davies, ■which has juat arrived at Liverpool fmui S<m Francisco, coutirois the previous reports, of $he immense number and size of the icebergs •which have been passed in the neighborhood pf Cape Horn. Captain Jones left San Fraucisco on the 25th July, and rounded Cape Horn on the 22nd September 12, 13, 17, 18, 20, and 26. On the cjOth September, Captain Jones passed on the east side of a large iceberg in 45.30 S., 38.40 W., which he found, by taking several bearings, to extend about tvyeuty-tjve miles north and south, and iv a N.W. direction farther than could be seen from the ship. The Alice Davies sailed among thirty-one icebergs up to the morning pf October 1, when she parted company with ! the last of them, which was about 130 miles north by south from the large one. Information has been received of the loss pf the Leith packet, and all hands, off Holyhead. The barque Victoria foundered off Hartleponl, after being in colh^ion with the brig Emily Stewart, of Shields ; anil the p,rigantine Talitha, of Hartleuool, aud .the schooner Ad|ne, of Liverpool, have been lost qn the Suffolk coast. The crews were saved. The schooner Nuity, of Great Yarmouth, has also been lost, with all hands
