HOKITIKA EASTER RACES.

The West Coast Times of Tuesday has the following : — "A meeting of gentlemen who were favorable for holding an Easter race ~ meeting took place at the British Empire Hotel-last night, when it was resolved unanimously, that a race meeting should be held at Hokitika on. Easter Monday and Tuesday. It was intended to have held a general meeting of the Jockey Club, but as the rules state that seven days' notice must be given, the meeting lapsed, but the requisition calling the meeting still holds good, and it will take place on Monday, the 21st inst. We trust the Jockey Club will reconsider the conclusion previously arrived atj and will allow the meeting to be held under their auspices.
