She was nearly full laden with wqol, grain, and some flax. • The cause not stated. Some people conjecture that it was incendiarism, as some of the crew were sent on b.oa.rd. in irons after having deserted. Yesterday we received the following additional and later details :•*- Wellington, March %i. The Heruj, laden with flax, wool, and grain has been totally destroyed in Port Underwood, on. the eve of sailing for London. She was burnt below the copper. She heeled over toward deep water, on the port side, in 16 feet water, broadside on. Nothing. belonging to her was saved. The fire broke out among the flax. There is no suspicion of. witfql firing.
