There is still no word of the Charles Etlward, which is now over a fortnight out from tho Bluff for Hokitika, via Martin's Bay. It is stated that should she not arrive before the s.s. Kennedy, that vessel will go South to endeavour to discover her whereabouts. The ss. Waipara, Captain Bascand, returned yesterday afternoon from Westport, which port 6he left at five o'clock yesterday morning. At Westport she transhipped the cargo, passengers, and horses brought down from Nelson by the s..s. Murray, and brought them down here.The s.s. Murray arrived at Westport from. Nelson, but returned yesterday from that port without coming down the coast as she had damaged her rudder. . The s.B. Kennedy was Wqstport yeste.r<day, and may be looked for here to-day. ■The 5,5. ••.: John Perm and s.s. Wallaby, pailed on Thursday from W.-raganni for West Coast ports.. . The Perm is announced to leave here on Monday for Weatport, .Nelson, Wanganui aud Manakau. The schooner Onterbmy, Ca.pt. Ruxtqn, from Lyttelton, was brought to the wharf yesterday afternoon by the p.s. Dispatch. She left Lyttelton on the 27th nit., and it coming on to blow heavy from the northwest, she put into Guard's Biy to repair fore and main lanyards, which she had carried away. Left on the 2nd instant, with westerly breezes, and on the 3rd she was off Cape Farewell. From that date to the 7th inst., 'she experience! variable winds aud calms, with a heavy W33lerly swell. On the •7th, ft strong breeze from the S. W. was met which niocleraled on the 9th. On the llth,' jit 3 p.m. she arrived in the rawlstesid, and wag brought in half-an-hour afterwards. She brings a large cargro of colonial pro luce, the particulars of which will be found above.
