The s.s. Waipara, Captain Bascand, arrived hero yesterday morning cm her return trip from Wellington. The Captain reports leaving there on Friday night last, and arriving fit Nelson on Saturday, He left the latter place at oije o'clock on Monday, and arrived at Westport at midday at Tuesday. After leaving there at 5 p.m. he called in at Brighton, and arrived here, at midnight of Tuesday, entering the river at daylight. She left for Hokitika yesterday. The Waipara when in Wellington uuderAvent a thorough overhaul, and was also put upon the gridiron ut Nelson.
