He, however, had a fine run diwn to the Coast after that, as, on the Ist inst., he sighted Mount Cook and on the following day his bearings showed him to be only 45 miles off the Grey. There, he was, for a short period becalmed, but manage 1 to crawl up to the roadstead, where he laid until yesterday, awaiting the arrival of the tug.
