MADAGASCAR.
A Malagash subject, said to be a slave, employed on board the British barque Phantom, has been seized by the Hovas, who refuse to give him up to the British Consul. Some strange reports in reference to the Florida (late American vessel), ju3t arrived here from the Mauritius, are in circulation, and, if investigated, might prove interesting to underwriters or others formerly connected with this vessel. It is s id that the Briii'di Consul has sent home for the opinim of his Government in the Delaine v. Finkelmeer case, in which the American Consular officer is iiivolved, and reference to which lias been made in former letters.
