THE GOVERNOR REPRIMANDED. IFROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT,) Wellinton, Dec. 28. A slight shock of earthquake was felt here this morning at 3.45, and also in Grey town. Two black fin whales were captured in harbor this morning. The Home Government has severely reprimanded the Governor fqr assuming the Queen's prerogative in decorating subjects, by consenting to an Order in Council instituting a New Zealand cross. In consideration of the special circumstances, however, the Queen has .confirmed the order from the date of issue.
