The s.s. Tararua passed this port at noon on Tuesday on her trip from Wellington to Hokitika. The p.s, Persevere, whioh was here^ in port, left for Hokitika some hours previously with the Greymouth passeugen and 3000oz of gold, which were transhipped in the Hokitika roadstead. On Tuesday the p.s. Despatch ran out to bring in a ketch which appeared in the roadStead, but she dispensed with the tug's seri vices, and sailed in.
