The Westlaud Jockey Club Racing Rules, as recently passed by that Club, will be strictly adhered to. Any jockey not riding in colors declared on night of general entry will be fined £1 Is. Anyone making an objection or protest will be required to deposit £2 with one of the Stewards or Seer.i - tary before the objection will be entertained, and if the Stewards declare such objection or protest to be frivolous or vexatious the £2 will be forfeited No entries will be received except upon the following conditions, viz. : — The decision of the Steward?, or whom they may appoint, shall in all cases be conclusive and binding in matters connected with the race?, and law proceedings barred. Entries and nominations must be made in writing, un^er cover, addressed to the Secretary, and , must contain subscription (if not previously given) and entrance money, together with the name of the owner, age of horse, colors of rider, and delivered not later than 8 p.m. on Monday, the 20th day of December, 1869, at Gough's Hotel, Ahaur?. Letters bearing postmark of that date will be received. To suit the convenience of upcountry reaideuts, the Secretary will receive entries before that time, subject, however to approval of Stewards.
