Per Persevere, for Hokitika : 15 tons coal, D. Girdwood and Co. There has been very little to report among the shipping since oar last, although the bar has remained perfectly smooth, with plenty of water. On Tuesday morning the s.s. Wallabi, from Wanganui and Westport, with stock, arrived, and sailed on her return trip the same evening. The p. s.- Dispatch in the afternoon brought in the schooner Three Friends from Brighton. Yesterday morning at five o'clock the p.s. Persevere arrived from Hokitika with the Tararua's passengers and the lighter Isabella in tow. 'J he latter was dropped in the roadstead, where she came to an anchor, she having contracted with the b.s. Waipara to tow her over the bar. Ihe Persevere left again last evening for Hokitika with a cargo of coal. The p.s. Charles Edward is announced to leave to-day, but it will probably be tomorrow, for the Manukau.
