Tho brig Magnet, Capt Clinskill, from Melbourne, arrived in the roadstead early on Tuesday, and was brought to the wharf yesterday morning by thep.s. Dispatch. She cleared Port PhilHp Heads at 9 a.m. on the 25th, September, with light N.N.E. winds. The Sisters were passed on the 29th, and the weather continued thick nearly the whole voyage, until Mount Cook was made out on the 3rd inst. at 4 a.m. The roadstead was reached on Tuesday, and she was brought in as above. The Magnet has, since her last trip here, been docked, "overhauled and repaired. She brings a large cargo in splendid condition consigned to her owners, Messes Kennedy Bros. On Tuesday morning the p.s. Dispatch brought io the wharf the schooner Falcon from Taranaki, with a cargo of potatoes. Yesterday she did a fine morning b work, bringing safely to the wharf the brig Magnet from Melbourne, and the ketohes Jane Elkin and Brothers and Sisters from Hokitikn. The bar and channel were in splendid condition, with plenty of water and a straight fun out. Last night at 1 1 o'clock the s.s. John Perm, p. a. Charles Edward, and the s.s. Waipara, from Hokitikn, arrived alongside the wharf. The two former are announced to leave this day for Westport, Nelson and the Manukau.
