In feeding grains, much activity is maintained. Trade parcels of niai^e have found buyers at

5s 3d to 5s 4Jd, and in quantity at 5a 2d, but that figure was offered and refused in the forenoon and 5a 3d was refused later on. New Z .inland oats have not only been disposed of at 5s 3d, but we understand that business is pending at an advance ou that rate. Sales of raaltiug barley have come under our notice at 5s 3d. In teas, there is a fair demand for good samples of low medium descriptions. Considerable parcels are taken up at from 12d to 14d. Brewing sugars are wanted for trade requirements. Sales of fine crystals have been recorded at L3B to L4O. Tobaccoes are meeting with favor. We hear of a shipment of fine descriptions of tens, rather a large line, being under negotiation. A parcel of good '68 Kent hops was. placed at Is 4d . There has been more doing in liquids. The public sale of wines and spirits attracted a fair attendance ; 109 quarter-casks, 30 hhds, and 648 cases were quitted. Sherry, common to ordinary, realised L2B to L4l, and fine medium sorts brought L 54 10s to I L 56 per butt, in bond. Port wine, in case, was quitted ut 19s to 28s, in bond. The demand for Hennessy's case brandy has somewhat revived again. We hear of 1800 to 2000 cases having changed hands at 27a to 27s 3d in parcels. Byass's stout continues to be moved off at 8s 6d. S«ile3 of Blood's are made at 9a 6d. Devenish's ale is disposed of at 10s.
