(From the W. C. Time*.) Wellington, Aug. 30. Mr Vogel's resolutions respecting woollen manufactures have been passed. A Royal Commission has been appointed to Inquire into the state of the law affecting building and land societies. Aug. 31. The Home Commissioner's Bill has passed the House, Dr Featherstone and Mr Dillon Bell have been appointed Commissioners, and will probably leave by the October mail. Dr Featherstone joins the Ministry, and will be sworn in to-morrow. The Otago and Southland Re-union Bill has been read a second time and carried by 28 to 20. A vote of L3OOO has been passed to the Hon. Mr Fitzherbert, in recognition of his services in connection with the Consolidation of Loan's Act. There were twenty-nine members in favor and three against. Napier, Aug. 30. Lieutenant-Colonel Herrick is at Ruuanga forming an outpost. Te Kooti is stili at Rototarara. It is reported that he h building a pah. Kenata left this morning with about 120 men to assist his relatives at Patea. A quartz reef containing s;old is reported to have been discovered at Kaiamania, about fifty miles from Napier. Colonel M'Donnell claims the reward. Napier, Aug. 31. A requisition, asking Dr Pollen to stand for the Superintendency of Auckland, has been very numerously signed. A report from the Waikato states that Te Kooti has attacked the friendly settlements at the head of the Wanganui river. It also states that at West Rotototairia he killed a number of friendlies, but lost himßelf thirty men. Te Kooti attributes his loss to the anger of the "Atua," on account of his attempted deception in the Waikato. There are now between 5000 and 6000 persons on the Coromandel diggings. Alluvial gold has been found in the jnkerman and Durham claims, and shares have gone up. The Auckland Provincial Government Buildings have been purchased for LSOOO, for a new plub.
