In the moining train of caTs from this city to Philadelphia, the other day, a fussy gcntleiiiuu (of that kind who are always intruding themselves upon the notice of others) began to question a sweet little girl who was sitting beside her money as to her name, destination, &c. After learning she was going to Philadelphia, he asked, "What motive is taking you thither, my dear ?"—" I believe they call it a locomotive, sir," was the innocent reply, 'lhe " intruding stranger" was extinguished.
