Per Murray, for Westport : 1' case coffee, Harper; 1 do drapery, M'Leod; 20 tons poal. Batty and Co. The s.s Gothenburg, Captain Underwood, arrived in the roadstead on Surday at 3 p.m., from Melbourne via New Zealand ports. She left Hobsnn's Bay at 4 p.m. on the 19th ult. ; passed Port Phillip Heads at 7 p.m. and Swan Island same hour next day. Experienced fine weather on the passage ; made south-west Cape at 7 a.m. on the 24th, and pntere.d Bluff Harbor at 1 1 n. m. ; discharged cargo, aud sailed at 3.30 p.m. on the 25th, arriving at Port Chalmers at daylight the next morning ; discharged 190 tons of cargo, received on board a quantity of grain and wool, and sailed for Lyttelton at 2 p.m. on the 29th, where she arrived at 10 a.m. the following day ; discharged aud received a large cargo, aut l sailed at 10 p.m. the same night, arriving at Wellington at 12 noon on the Ist, where she discharged 90 tons of cargo, and after receiving on board a quantity of wool, butter, flax, &c, sailed for Nelson at 2 p.m. on the 2nd ; arrived off Nelson at 4 am. on tee 3rd, sailed again at. 2.30 p.m. for the West Coast, arriving off this port as above, ller tender, the p.s. Persevere, was in readiness, and waited on the Gothenburg, shipping passeugers and 2153 punces of gold. She left almost immediately with her tender in tow for Hokitika. On Saturday evening the p.s. Dispatch took to sea the hri>j Magnet and schooner lo for Melbourne, and the schqongr Wild Wavefor Lyttelton. The p.s. Bruce was expected to be launched on Sunday, but early in the day she slipped off the .ways, and a good deal of the work has to be done over again. Fortunately, the weather remains calm, and as yet the Bruce has not received any serious injury The s.B. Murray, 'Captain M'Gilljvary, from Nelson and Westport, arrived 'early yesterday' morning. She has made a long trip, having left Nelsou yesterday week. The Cape could not be rounded for heavy S W. weather, and the Murray lay several days in Totaranui for shelter. The Buller was reached on Saturday morning, and luft on Sunday night, arriving here as above. Last evening she sailed on her return trip to Westport, without visiting Hokitika. Thep.B. Lyttelton, Captain Scott, arrived in port on Sunday evening, from Nelson and Westport. She left kelson on Thursday last, was in the Buller on Friday, sailed the fallowing clay, and arrived 'here as stated. Yesterday cargo was discharged, and she left in the evening for Hokitika." Thep.B. Yarra, Captain Kerley, returned to Hokitika on Sunday afternoon with a pargq of coal.
