BLACK BALL CREEK.
♦■ (To the Editor of the Qrey River Argus.) Sir— l was in hopes, after seeing a letter in your paper about eighteen months ago, explaining the state of the track between the Twelve-mile ferry and Moonlight Creek, that the Government would Jiave taken a little interest in the matter. I have been working up the Black Ball distriot for the last two years, and now I am obliged to put my swag on my back and travel to some other part, and all for the want of a track to enable my mates and I to get tucker. There has been a store at the Black Ball Creek for over four years, and now it is shut up ; the storekeeper told me he could not stop any longer, as there was no track, and diggers could not get up this side. It is a great pity that the Government will not cut a track on this side. There is plenty of gold up in this district, and there would be a good population between Langdon'a , Ferry and the Black Ball if there were pnly a foot track cut, and that would not cost more than L 30 f -J am, &c., A Muter.
