After a long debate last night the question waa put on Mr Fox's no-confidence motion, and the Government was defeated by a majority of ele\ en. This afternoon the House met, and much anxiety displayed to hear what course the Government intended to pursue. Mr Stafford briefly announced that after the decision arrived at by the House on the previous night, the Ministry had resolved to resign. Mr Fox stated that he had been called upon by the Governor to form a Government. i t. immediate adjournment took place.
