It is not our intention to notice auy further the attacks made by the "W. C. Times" upon the movement for the creation of a new County in the Grey district, and upon the promoters of that movement, because, so far, we hud that our arguments, and the allegations contained in the Separation petition, have simply been met by a general denial, and the motives of the promoters, and the principles upon which the movement was established, have been misrepresented. The issue now lies with the General Assemlly, not with our contemporary, and we must, therefore, be excused if we direct our attention to the quarter where the question will be considered calmly and free from those local jealousies, a display of which is so frequently •to be found in our contemporary's columns, when any proposition is made which would in the slightest degree advance the interests of the Grey district. We would remind our contemporary it is almost certain that during the present session of the Assembly there will be a leconstrucuon of the boundary line between Nelson and Westland, which has beeu the principal cause of the existing agitation for Separation, and it would conduce more to the interests of the County at large if it had devoted more of its time and attention to the discussiou of the best means by which to secure to Westlaud the revenues raised at this port, and now so unjustly appropriated by Nelson, instead ot attempting to injure the cause of Separation by every means in its power. ,
