For Poenamu (Greenstone), eveiy Monday and Thursday, at 4.30 p.m. For Brighton. St. Kilda, Charleston, and Woetport, every Wednesday, at 4.30 p.m. For tho future all correspondence for the United King-lorn, Europe, and America will be charged tho Suez rate of postage. From Brighton, St. Kilda, Charleston, and Westport, every Tuesday. In future, the Post Office will be open to the public, for the transaction of Money Order and Savings Bank business, on ordinary days from 9 o'ekek a.m. to 4 o'clock p.m., and on Saturdays, and on the day previously to the closing of the Mails for the United Kingdom, from 9 o'clock a.m. to 5 o'clock p. in. Money orders must be procured and lettc s registered one hour previous to the closing oi the mail by which it is intended to trausin t them. Lettern for sea borne mails will be fo;---warded if posted within forty minutes after the -advertised time for closing the mailc, smeh letters to bear a late fee of 6d, in addition to the postage, the whole to be affixed iv postage stamps. A writer estimates the sum lost and won at cards in the Paris clubs at 1,000,000 f. 5t day. The cards alone cost 6000 f. per night.
