I (From the West Coast Times.) Christchukoh, May 3. The great native meeting at Tokangamatu concluded on Monday last, the 26th tilt. There were present 1200 Hau-haus and 500 friendlies. Rewi and Tapihana were the principal speakers on the Hau-hau side. They said that they desired peace, in Waikato, and that the Waikato must be kept quiet. The following speech was read from the Native King's throne by the King's Secretary to all the tribes : — " Let men cease killing men on account of land. Let men cease killing men. Let the right hand be the right hand, and the left hand the left hand." Tito Kowaru is said to have moved to Ngaire. The Waitotara rebel natives have come down to Putiki, within sight of the town of Wanganui, and it is said they are going to ask for compensation for their property recently destroyed up the Wanganui river by the troops. The Wanganui papers are highly indignant. The Prince landed at Wellington at two o'clock on Sunday, and rode out with the Governor. A cricket match took place on Saturday between the officers of the Galatea and the Wellington Cricket Club, The latter won in the first innings. The Duke of Edinburgh, in the Galatea, sailed for Auckland this day, at three o'clock. HM.'s ships Challenger and Blanche proceed shortly to Auckland, for the purpose of holding a court-martial on officers of H.M.s ship Virago. No demonstration occurred during the Prince's stay beyond a Volunteer guard at Government House.
