Notice is Hereby Given that a Regulation under Section 2 of part 3, of the thirteeuth Schedule of "'Hie Municipal Corporations Act, 1867," was proposed at a meeting of the Borough Council of Greymouth, held on the sixth day of April instant, for the purpose of ascertaining a full, trtie, and complete list or statement of all and singular the cargo", -goods, wares; merchandise, and effects carried or conveyed by captains or other persons in command of any vessel intending to land or discharge, such cargo, goods, wares, merchandise, &c, at the port of Greymouth. v . . ''■ ■ And Notice is Hereby Further Given, that the said regulation for the above-men-tioned purpose is now deposited for the in-" spection of any person interested therein, at the Town Clerk's Office, Gresson street; And Furthermore, the same will be considered at a meeting of the Borough Council, to be held next after the expiration of seve^ days after the publication of this advertisement. Notice is Hereby Given that in pursuance of the Municipal Corporation Act, 1567, the Council of the Borough of Greymouth passed the following Bye-Laws : — B ye-Laav No, 2 of the Council of the Borough of Greymouth, made under and in pursuance of clause 186 of part thirteen of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1867, the Council of the Borough of Greymouth ordains as follows : — 1. That this Bye-law shallapply only to such wharfs, jettys, piers, or quays as belong to and are under the sole management and control of the Council of the Borough o{ Greymouth. 2. The word vessels for the purpo->8 of this Bye-law shall mean all sailing vessels, steamers, lighters, and steam tugs entering the River Grey. 3. It shall be lawful for the Council from time to time to make regulations for all or any of the follow 'ig puippses : Thab is to say— - Ist. For appointing the tpnnage rates and tolls to be paid 'i respect of any vessel loading or iinloading, or refitting, from or at any such wharf, pier, jetty, or quay, or in any other manner making use thereof for such purposes as aforesait 1 2nd. Every person offending contraiy to any regulation made under this Bye-law shall forfeit, on copvictipn, a sum not exceeding Five Pounds.
