Notice is Hereby Given that in pursuance of the Municipal Corporation Act, 1567, the Council of the Borough of Greymouth passed the following Bye-Laws : — B ye-Laav No, 2 of the Council of the Borough of Greymouth, made under and in pursuance of clause 186 of part thirteen of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1867, the Council of the Borough of Greymouth ordains as follows : — 1. That this Bye-law shallapply only to such wharfs, jettys, piers, or quays as belong to and are under the sole management and control of the Council of the Borough o{ Greymouth. 2. The word vessels for the purpo->8 of this Bye-law shall mean all sailing vessels, steamers, lighters, and steam tugs entering the River Grey. 3. It shall be lawful for the Council from time to time to make regulations for all or any of the follow 'ig puippses : Thab is to say— - Ist. For appointing the tpnnage rates and tolls to be paid 'i respect of any vessel loading or iinloading, or refitting, from or at any such wharf, pier, jetty, or quay, or in any other manner making use thereof for such purposes as aforesait 1 2nd. Every person offending contraiy to any regulation made under this Bye-law shall forfeit, on copvictipn, a sum not exceeding Five Pounds.
