The s.B. Tararua, Captain Symons, from Melbourne, arrived off the bar at 11 p.m. on Wednesday, and on Thursday morning was tendered by the p. 8. Persevere. She sailed from Sandridge pier at 11 a. m. on the 17th, and cleared Port Philip Heads at 2 p.m., and Swan Island the following day at 11 a. m. Daring the first two days light easterly winds were experienced ; then fresh westerly and sonth-west winds, which increased to fresh gales ; passed the Sulander at 11 p.m. on the 21st ; slowed engines duriug the night, and arrived at Bluff-wharf at 6 a.m. on the 22nd; discharged cargo, and left at S p.m., and had strong westerly gale 3 and high seas to Dunedin, arriving at 7 a.m. on the 23rd, leaving for Lyttelton at 2.15 p.m. 25th; arriving at 6.45 a.iv. on the 26th ; left for Wellington at 6.45 on the 27th, arriving at 10 a.m. on the 28th ; left for Nelson at 5 p.m. on the 29th, entering the harbor at 10 a.m. on the 30th, leaving again the same night at 11.30, and hove-tooff this port at 11 p.m. on the 31st nit. The Tararua experienced fine weather with light winds, during the run round the poast. The p.s. Persevere tendered her very early on the tide on the following morning, landing 20 passengers, and putting pn board pf her 15 passengers for Melbourne, and 1000 oz gold from the Bank of Australasia, md Jsoooz from the Bank of New South Wales. The p. 8. Lyttelton, Captain Scott, from Nelson and Westport arrived off the bar at 10a.m. on Thursday, and Crossed about 11.30. She left Nelson on Monday, at 11 p.m., and was in the Buller the following morning. Left again on Thursday morning, at one o'clock, and arrived as above. She brought on the cargo far this port, from Melbourne, which was carried on by the a s. Rangitoto. "On Thursday she shipped a cargo of coal, and left for the Buller early yesterday morning. The schooner Ann, Captain Dunlop, from Onehunga and Charleston, was towed in yesterday afternoon by the p.s. Dispatch. While- in Charleston harbor she received a severe knocking about during the recent gale, as pre\lously reported. The p.s. Bruce, Captain Christian, arrived from Hokitika yesterday at 4 p.m., and sailed again for Westport and Nelson at midnight. The ketch Brothers and Sisters, Captain Morton, from Fox's, which had been at anchor off the bar for two days, waiting a fair -wind, got a breeze on Thursday, and sailed to the wharf. A mongst her cargo arc two hous.es which have been purchased in Brighton, by speculators, taken down, and snipped here for re-erection. The p. 8.
