Bye-Law No. 2 of the Council of the Borough of Gfeymouth, made under aud ia pursuance of clause 186 of part thirteen of the" Municipal Corporations Act, 1867, the Council of the Borough of Greymouth ordains as follows :— 1. That this Bye-law shall apply only to such wharfs, jettys, piers, or quays as belong to and are under the sole management and control of the Council of the Borough of Greymouth. 2. The word vessels for the purpose of this Bye-law shall mean all sailiug vessels, steamers, lighters, and steam tugs entering the River Grey. ' 3. It shall be lawful for the Council from time to time to make regulations for all or any of the following purposes : That is to say— • Ist. . For appointing the tonnage rates and tolls to be paid in respect of any vessel loading or unloading, or refitting, from or at any such wharf, pier, jetty, or quay, . or in any other manner making use thereof for such pur■.poses as afpresaii; ~ 2nd.
