PAROA ROAD BOARD.

The usual weekly meeting of this Board, was held at their office, Paroa, on Tues* day evening, the 23rd inst. Present — Messrs Stansell (Chairman), Murdoch and. O'Connor. . ~ • The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed, arid the correspond-, ence received. Moved by Mr Stansbll, seconded by ' Mr O'Connor and carried—" That the Finance Committee's Report be adopted^ and' that the Secretary he instructed to write to Mr- Perkins, stating. that the LB6V • claimed by Mr Johnstone is included in the town account, and that the balance of 5s due to him by this Hoard will be paid," Moved by Mr Murdoch, seconded by Mr O'Connor and carried— '< That the Chairman be requested to inspect the land applied for by Messrs Card and Co., and report on aame at next meeting ; and; consideration of applications Nibs, 2, and 3 stand over until next meeting." Moved by Mr Stanseij,, seconded byMr Murdoch and carried— " That the Secretary be instructed to write to the Mayor of Greymouth, requesting him to forward the desk-stand, &c, belonging to the Road Board." Moved by Mr Murdoch, seconded by Mr Stansell and carried — "That the Engineer be instructed to inspect the. horse-track from the Junction to the. Greenstone township, and report on same, at next meeting." The Board then adjourned until Wed-, day next, 31st instant, at 8 p.m.
