PAROA ROAD BOARD.
The usual weekly meeting of this Board was held on Wednesday last, the 3rd inst., at the office, Paroa. Present — Messrs Stansell (in the chair), O'Connor, and Colton. The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed, and the correspondence received. The Chairman, in the absence of the treasurer, reported the balance in the bank to be £122 12s. 6d. Mr Stansell moved, and Mr Colton seconded — " That the following accounts be referred to the Finance Committee, with power to pay, if found correct : — Grey River Argus, £9 9s. 6d. ; Greymouih and Saltwater Tramway, £2 ss. 6d. ; E. Clark, £1 10s."— Carried. Mr Cqlton moved, and Mr O'Connor seconded — " That the sum of £40 be paid to Mr Clark, according to agreement dated 13th January, 1869."— Carried. Mr Stansell moved, and Mr Colton seconded — "That the sum of £20 be paid to Mr S. Burgess, on account." — Carried. There was no other business of importance, and the Board adjourned until Wednesday, the 10th inst.
