The rules of the Canterbury Jockey Club will be enforced, unless when otherwise specified. No entry will be received unless upon the distinct understanding that the decision of the Stewards, or whomever they may appoint, shall in all cases be final,, and all law proceedings barred. Entries and^ nominations to be made on Saturday evening, March 13, previous to nine o'clock, at Sweeney's Hotel. All entries and acceptances must be in writing, specifying age and description of horse, and colors of rider, and contain the requisite money. All horses must be ridden in colors. A qualification of 2 soys must be paid, by non -subscribers to that amount, except for the Packers' Purse. All stakes paid less 5 per cent towards ex» penses.
