Per Jane Elkin for Hokitika : 40 tons coal, Clarke Bros. Per John Perm for Westport : 2 packages, Moss.
The s.s.John Perm returned from Hokitika j on Tuesday afternoon, and sailed again about midnight for Westport, Nelson, and Manukan. The schooners Spray and Wild Wave, both from Christchnrch, arrived off the bar yester- j day afternoon, too late ion the tide. They came to an anchor, and will be brought to the wharf torday. The Panama Company's s.s. Rangttoto left the Bluff for Melbourne, via the West Coast, and will positively tako her departure from this port this afternoon, conveying passengers to Melbourne direct. She will also take a considerable shipment of gold.. The 8.8. Gothenburg was supposed to have left Nelson yesterday afternoon, and may be expected here torday, when she will be dispatched with passengers for Melbourne direct. The s.s. Waipara left Charleston for this port yesterday, and will probably cross the bar during the night.
