Most distressing ' details came out, which indicated that he ■ had been pursuing a course of disgusting immorality for several years. He has been expelled from the Church. Sydney, Oct. 22. • The Parkes Ministry have resigned, . and only hold office till their successors are appointed. The Governor has declined to dissolve Parliament. The Chinaman who was indicted for the murder of Lee, at Iron Bark Gully, has been sentenced to death. October, 14. The debate on the amendment to the Vice-regal address was carried on with great spirit in the Assembly until a late hour last night, when a division was taken. The numbers being even on both sides, the Speaker gave his casting vote in favor of the Government, and therefore the amendment was lost, but it is reported to-day that the Ministry will resign. 5 p.m. : On the meeting of the Assembly this afternoon, the Government intimated that they would require time to consider their position after the decision of the House on the previous night, and asked for an adjournment, which was at once agreed to. : The detachment of Royal Artillerymen which has for some time been stationed here embarked to-day on board ihe ship : Rifleman, and will be conveyed forthwith ; to Gibraltar. ; October 16. Maizo is very firm at 2a lOd per bushel. 1 A meeting of the members of the Cabinet was held to-day, when it was decided to postpone the question of whether the Ministry should resign or ask 1 for a dissolution of the Assembly until | Tuesday next, when the House meets. L Adelaide, October 16. 1 The cargo of sugars ex Elizabeth, recently arrived from Mauritius, was sold by auction to-day, at prices showing an advance upon last sales' rates. ' The tone of the wheat market is firmer, ' and there is a fair demand for flour at ; from Ll2 10s to Ll3 10s per ton. Wheat is still quoted at 5s per bushel. . I . —
